Zhuge Liang once said “To overcome the intelligent by intelligence, it is a matter of opportunities”. Opportunities emerge from events, trends and conditions. If the opportunities present itself yet you are unable to respond to it, then you are not great. Take advantage of the opportunities that emerges from events, trends and conditions (ETC) to dominate the competition.

(ETC)
Events- Event is when a situation occurs in a given place and time. These special circumstances will help unfold new opportunities.
Example- The wide use of gasoline all over the world has trigged global warming. This has trigged the need for hybrid cars and solar power.
Trends- Trend occurs from a sequence of events that lasts depending on the popularity. It comes and goes depending on the momentum it gains.
Example- Everybody is going green as global warming has become a threat to the world. This trend gains momentum as more are aware of global warming and want to go “green” to help save the world.
Conditions- Conditions emerge as things unfold and as time passes. These circumstances appear from the results of a situation or time.
Example- Due to global warming, the government is encouraging businesses to use alternatives that help provide for a greener world. Government has rewards and funding for businesses that will go the green route.
Zhuge Liang tells us how to see the opportunities from ETC in order to take advantage of it. As event, trends and conditions unfold so does the opportunities. Dominate the competition and the industry through these opportunities.
