What’s This? What’s That? Product Marketing Strategy

Has anyone ever asked you these questions, what’s this or what’s that? Any unique or out of the norm products will spark such questions. If your products are doing that, it can become a great hit as your customers explain your products to curious individuals who want to know what it is and what it does. The curious individuals will buy this unique product, and then the whole process starts over. Unique and wacky items are great self product promoters because it sparks the question, “What’s this? What’s that?”.

Questions like “what’s this or what’s that” are great self product promoters because people will talk about it, people will write articles about it and people will show about it. Even if the functions of this wacky or unique product is completely useless, if people are aware of the what’s this or what’s that product, they will be curious and buy it to tell you about it.

What’s this or what’s that, is a great marketing concept by having unique, out of the norm products that people will ask about it, talk about it, and show about it. You don’t pay a cent for these promotions. Your customers do them for you. The problem is making a product that is worth sparking questions of “what’s this or what’ that?”. People remember more on products that they have no clue about.

Unique and out of the norm products are the best marketers because they keep making people ask “what’s this or what’s that?”. The users will then explain it, the explained will buy it, the new users will then show it, and the whole cycle repeats again. That’s a lot of self promotion without a penny and you build yourself a great product that everyone keeps talking about.

    Wow David. How very bizarre you talked about this on the very weekend a friend of mine launched his “unique ear warmer” product online. I linked to his site since I’m just starting that build and am kind of in charge of the online part….How funny…LOL

    Hi david
    I loved your article about how to treat your workforce.I was a team leader at my place of work before i got layed off due to ill health.I used to no wm workers very well they were like mates men and women.Please and thank you go a long way,plus explain in plain english what you want from them.I was highly respected from the workers and mangement,which i think goese a long way for a happy hard working work force.

    Thanks Philip =D. Communication and being polite is very important in managing a workforce. Plain english is the best because it is easy to understand and shows that you are not a show off. Hope you enjoy this blog and come back for more =).
