Using Sweepstakes to get New Customers

Many businesses hold sweepstakes each year to get new customers. However, too many can actually backfire because it makes your business look desperate (and costly). If you hold sweepstakes all year long, the sweepstakes itself loses its value as people only desire things that are limited and scarce.

Sweepstakes is a great way to get new customers, but it has to offer great prizes to attract a huge crowd (to convert them into customers). Also making the sweepstakes occur each year help builds consistency and retention rate.

In order to make the sweepstakes memorable, it has to be unique each year (make it fun and interesting, not the same old game and rules!). The sweepstakes must be heavily promoted online and offline to obtain a large amount of entries. Rules, regulation, and planning must be done properly in order to have a successful sweepstakes.

Too many sweepstakes within a year is a bad idea (nobody will desire it). Best to have it once per year and do it consistently so people will remember about it (make them wait eagerly for the sweepstakes each year!). Sweepstakes is a great way to get customers but make it new, interesting and unique each year to create excitement (more excitement = more customers)!

It is great to have a yearly event that customers will remember and mark on the calendar.
