“Tossing out a brick to get a jade” means to lure your enemy in the prospect of gain to obtain something far more valuable as the enemy goes for the bait. From illusion to schemes, make your enemies do what you want them to do in order to use it to your advantage. Understand everything about the enemy to attract them to your schemes.
If you want to counter this strategy, question every intention and every action. Think beyond the ordinarily, question beyond the normal circumstances. If you can understand the reason why a particular scheme or action is played out, you will understand your enemy’s motives.
