There is always a third side of the equation, where another party is operating in the dark in order to reap the benefits from the war or competition. It happens all the time, where opportunities are grasped as it becomes favorable to move on. When two sides are fighting, a third side will eventually appear to take advantage of them.
The third side of the equation must be assessed and assumed since it can be deadly if they interfere with your endeavors. To always think out of the box and assume there is another force at bay will make you less vulnerable in your enterprise. When the war or competition ravages on, you must start thinking if another party is pulling the strings.
