21. Shed off the Golden Cicada Skin
“Shed off the golden cicada skin” is a phrase where one creates an illusion in order to conceal one’s movements. By masking yourself, you will be able to further your own goals easier. This stratagem can help you avoid or reorganize under an illusion.
Some leaders use this stratagem by creating doubles in order to avoid assassination. Others will use this it in order to retreat safely. Some will use this stratagem offensively in order to create a false front for the enemy to attack. Others will create an illusion that there is an enemy from within which arouses suspicion, chaos and confusion. Make use of the infinite illusions; that is what it means to “shed off the golden cicada skin“.

I am thinking I need a double or 2 or 3 myself… one to take care of the children & house, one two play around on the internet, a couple more to dodge assassination attempts by bloggers who hate me. That way I can go back to bed and sleep in some more.
