12. Seize any Passing Goat
“Seize any passing goat” is an expression where one must be flexible enough to seize every opportunity (no matter how big or small) during an operation. Any negligence of the enemy is for you to profit on. Any weakness of the enemy is for you to exploit on. By taking advantage of even the littlest and slightest opportunities, you will be able to overcome your enemy.
There are direct and indirect, internal and external, emotional and physical, obvious and the subtle. These opportunities must be closely observed in order to take advantage of them. The coming of events, trends and condition, time and emotion, are the things you will need to exploit on. Every small opportunity must be seized; every small affair must be dealt. That is what it means to “seize any passing goat”.

Making the most of opportunities that come your way is something I guess most of us need to work on. It is only when we seize those opportunities that you will find out if something will be successful. When it does do well…you thank yourself for being brave enough to try it out!
