Some people prefer quantity while others prefer quality. They are actually both good but they can make or break during an economic situation. At times, quantity will be better and at times quality will be better. The use of quantity or quality depends on the economic situation. Sometimes you must drop quality in favor for quantity and vice versa.
Quantity surely is better during economic turmoil like a recession. In times were money is scarce and employment level is low, more people will favor quantity over quality. Unless your service or product is for the very wealthy, your target market’s potential starts to look bleak as job turnover rate is high and cash is scarce for middle to low income households.
Quality is really beneficial during times of economic growth where most people have spending power. During times of high growth, people will more likely spend a little more for luxurious and higher quality products and services. Knowing when to use quantity or quality depends on the economy. Being flexible and knowing when to use quantity and quality on your products and services will give you a competitive edge.
To change is to adapt. You must be able to change through the times in order to adapt to it. Choose wisely on quantity and quality depending on the competition and what type of economic situation you are in at the moment.
