Politics is always changing the business world because of the constant changes of policies. In business, you have to be political in order to have an edge. Politics has become a power struggle among businesses to get a firmer hold on their dominance.

Politics is one of the most crucial elements necessary in order to have a powerful dominance in your industry. It almost eliminates all obstacles and barriers for your business if you have connections with politicians. Politicians who control the government set all the rules for businesses. If the politicians aren’t on your side, you are at a disadvantage.

Using politics to control the industry isn’t something new. A few corporations have connections with politicians which are capable of receiving huge contracts and resources, giving them a powerful edge. Going political by sponsoring politicians opens up all kinds of connections and windows of opportunities.

Having political ties can make your business powerful. Having these powerful connections with politicians can make your business run smoother. You can become political by funding politicians on their campaigns which will support your policies and decisions. Politics decides if your business is going to live or die.

    Lobbying is indeed a powerful mean to get a greater position in the industry.
    But the extend of lobbying varies greatly across countries, where in some instances lobbying might be interpreted as excessive ‘cronyism’ and ‘corruption’.
    Thus backlash from the public will follow.
