In business, trust is a major factor that determines if you will get a sale or not. By far, the hardest to achieve is gaining the trust of consumers since numerous business scams has been emerging in the past decade. Trust has become a really important issue in business since it is a major factor in the decision leading up to the purchase of a product or service. There are ways to make your business more trustworthy through the use of marketing.
One way to gain trust from the consumers is to have a seal of approval from a respected organization. A seal of approval is a great trust mechanism that gives consumers confidence to trust your brand and hopefully make a purchase on your products or services. Having that approval seal can be a make or break for some industries.

Another way to build trust is to have a spokesperson that is a respectful and trustworthy. By using a spokesperson (usually a celebrity or famous person), that individual will testify and recommend your product or service that he/she endorse. This has become quite popular in many commercials.
Gaining the trust of consumers is crucial for any business. Trust leads to sales and only then will the business prosper. You will able to sell your products and services much easier by using marketing strategies that can promote trust on a product or service.

I must be the devil’s advocate here and say that, since I am studying Persuasion as well as Sociology of Work and all the deviousness that accompanies such liberal curriculums, if you are to truly market yourself as trustworthy and honest you should be sure that your intentions are transparent.
We are all aware, I am sure, of “honest” corporations who appear to have the best intentions for their community and consumers but instead run down the “little guy” for the sake of profit.
But, in all truth, it is nice that there is someone who espouses being nice and trustworthy. Business isn’t all about profit and nice guys don’t always finish last
Yes, I agree. Showing your intentions is a good way of being honest. Is a shame how many huge corporations are taking advantage of us for the sake of profit. Being fair and just as part of the mission statement doesn’t sound so far fetch these days. We need more of those actually.
