Marketing is like Storytelling

Do you ever get the feeling how marketing is like storytelling? You tell the story about your business, products, and history. You explain how you first ventured your business and the fruits of your labor. This is by far the greatest storytelling part which people will buy into it.

Marketing is like storytelling where you are the storyteller. The story you tell gradually builds up throughout the years. The story becomes stronger as people talk about it as many people will grow fond of it. The better the storyline, the better it will be remembered by the people. If the people remember your story they will remember your business.

marketing is like storytelling

Never lie about your story. Lying about your success or status can in fact harm you and your business. Your integrity will be demolished and your trust broken. Nobody will ever believe you again and your reputation will become meaningless.

Practice on telling a good story about your business (how it started, why you are doing it and the twist and turns of your business) because many legends and old stories have survived due to great storytellers. A good story about your business makes it very marketable. Pave a way of success through storytelling about your business.

Very true indeed. Just like writing a blogpost, we should be able to engage our listeners, make it interesting so that our story can initiate actions.
