Loot a Burning House

5. Loot a Burning house

loot a burning house

“Loot a burning house” means using chaotic situations to get what you want. During a burning house, there will be mass confusion that makes it easy and accessible to loot. In a place where there is chaos, everything becomes easier to do. Whether it is to unite the people or take advantage of the situation, it will be relatively easier.

When your enemy is in a state of confusion and chaos, it presents the perfect opportunity to wipe them out or seize them. Demands will easily be met by the enemy. Enemies can be defeated if they are weakened from internal and external affairs. Make your enemy bend to your will when they are weakened.

When your enemy is in a state of chaos, you can make it worse to destroy them (keep pouring more oil). The troubles of others can be your gain if you act accordingly. That is what it means to “loot a burning house”.

A burning house (or corporation) is often the place you will see recruiting companies running towards. Recruiters are kind of like firemen attempting to save a few people from the disastrous collapse of a corporation. This is called “white knight” recruiting. Often people can’t even see the imminent collapse of the place they are working, they have been pep talked to death.

A healthy aggressive strategy many a take-over bid company has used to the success of their take-over!

BC- Great input there. I have heard of the “white knight” term during one of my business class. Those recruiters sure are the white knights of a failing corporation.

Zowoco- A burning house (or company) is great for taking over!
