Last time I talk to you about The Importance of Brand. Today I want to talk to you about how to promote it. There are many ways to promote a brand and it is important that you do so. Promoting your brand is very critical to your business. It is no luck that Nike became one of the most famous and influential sports gear company in history. They didn’t sit around waiting for shoppers to see what they had, they promoted it like crazy! Nike spent billions on advertising to get to where they are today. However, they are a multinational company so relax if you think you have to spend the amount Nike did.
The place where you established your company is your headquarters. Best to promote your brand in the city you are located first. Start small and think big later. Attract consumers through promotion and advertising. Most Important… You need a product or service to make use of Brand.

You need to generate hype and customer’s retention rate so they will remember your brand and hopefully make a purchase on your products or services. That first purchase is very important since it will show the qualities of your products or services to the costumers which will determine if they will repeat the purchase. Repeated purchases promote trust and loyalty and soon you will have loyal customers.

What about for smaller businesses with much smaller budgets?
If you have a smaller budget you have to do all those by yourself and I’m going to explain how to. But, it will still be hard on you when you’re trying to get a spot available for your advertisement because those are costly.

I am a Fresher working in a Pharma company which manufactures Oncology drugs as a product manager. i would like to know how do i go about for the promotion of a company. its an upcoming company. i have designed brochures and leave behinds already, what else can i do? pls ADVICE
Well… promoting a brand is like promoting a company for brand = company!
I’ll be a little more specific for your pharma company
Website (includes a blog with daily to weekly entries about your drugs, stages, information, asking questions and such)
Online Ads (Google Adword “use keyword terms like oncology drugs” “cancer treatment” “cancer drug”)
Press Release (Online and Offline)
Newspaper, Health/Medicine Magazine ads
Talk to hospitals and doctors who treats cancer (give them brochures, business cards and a warm opening message)
Print tons of shirt with your pharma company name, slogan and best product which in one sentence explain your product does (give to your co workers, families, friends and tell them to constantly wear them to create awareness)
Billboards, Bulletinboards
Flyers, Word of Mouth (tell about your company’s story to people), some company promo stickers on you and your co workers cars.
Try to seduce reporters on talking about your company!
Give out tons of your drugs for free for cancer patients to create a story.

Make a website with your boss name as the website address. Then, have a featured video about your boss showing his/her personality, honesty, integrity and etc to help enhance the boss and brand image. Also, have your boss write a personal blog and let his/her personality flow within the writing so readers can get to know the person better and build a relationship from there.

John- If it is a luxurious brand, then wrap it up and give them away to celebrities or famous people to create awareness. If it is a normal brand, then create a marketing and advertising campaign. Think of never been done campaigns to create awareness! Link your brand to something!
