Graffiti Marketing Campaign

Graffiti marketing campaign can be quite resourceful as it is cheap and effective. Many countries have accepted graffiti as a part of their culture because of its artistic value (and widespread vandalism). Sony at one point employed graffiti artists in the U.S. to graffiti certain areas to promote their new product “the psp” (playstation portable) as part of their marketing campaign to create awareness and publicity.

Hiring popular graffiti artists for their expertise can create a lot of exposure from the media and graffiti fans. Being featured through online sites like media websites/blogs and offline like newspaper/ magazines can increase the awareness of your marketing campaign. Of course, there is always a steep price that you must pay (if the vandalism traces back to you).

If you want, you can try giving out free t-shirts with graffiti ads to grab people’s attention. You can also try to give out free graffiti ads on people’s skateboards, shirts, tattoos, pants and caps to generate awareness and attraction. This is a legal way of using graffiti for your marketing campaign that can capture peoples’ attention about your message.

Try out graffiti marketing if you need to target the younger generation. Graffiti is still pretty hip and people will talk about it which generates awareness. If you have trouble targeting the younger generation, graffiti marketing might just be the cure.

I would not probably have walls painted and sprayed but to actually design some graffiti like ad and have it plastered over some products is kind of cool hint ! thanks for the idea, going to work on it :-)

This is a true guerrilla! Coming out at night to spray walls :)
It will be less likely to get caught if the company is big. But if it’s a tiny enterprise, people will become suspicious really quick :)

Biz- No problem! Hope it works out for you =).

Zedd- Yea, I wouldn’t advise small companies doing this.
