Doing good deeds for branding is kind of awkward for many businesses, but the potentials and rewards are amazing. A lot of people believe that doing business means being ruthless and doing good deeds is usually out of the question for them. I’m telling you that they are missing the big picture. Doing good deeds is an excellent way for branding.
There are many good deeds you can do in order to increase your presence. Some of the good deeds you can do are to donate food, water, shelter and clothes to the poor, homeless and the elderly. Also, you can help sponsor charities, donations and events that will help the poor. Helping orphans by making more orphanages and sponsoring job fairs for the jobless are excellent way to strengthen your brand.

Here were I live, almost every “walmart like” business has this thing were you can donate your cents for a determinate good deed, the free advertisement that this businesses get from the donations they have collected is big, the funny thing is that they don’t spend a dime in a good deed, is always money from customer
I’ve seen many companies get great exposure through “good deeds” as you call them or charitable acts. It’s a great way to get yourself and your company out there in the community and in a positive light.
Victor- That’s pretty bad, but they are doing a good deed by using their brand to solicit your loose change to help the poor =D. Would be better if they donated though.
FM- Yep, is definitely a great way to make a good name for yourself and become more trusted by businesses and consumers as a whole
Good deeds are important in business, look at McD’s the Ronlad McDonald house is the first good deed I heard of as a kid and it is still going strong driving that brand to the top everytime.
So true Debo. In my mind, McD’s is like the only fast food chain that does good deeds because I keep hearing about them all the time. I always go there for a quick fix because of their strong brand with charities and donations to the needy.
