“Feint east, strike west” means spreading out false news, information or rumors to dictate your enemy’s movement. By using misleading information, you make your enemies vulnerable. This tactical diversion will make your actions unpredictable.
By making a feint, you lure your enemies out; making them vulnerable as you attack where they least expect of you. Information can be manipulated to dictate your enemy’s movement. It is a great tactical diversion used to divert your enemy’s attention as you strike where they are weak at. The element of surprise will be in your favor. That is what it means to “feint east, strike west”.
