Distribute Your Commercials Online

For people of low budget, getting your commercials on a TV spot is usually out of the question. However, submitting it to sites such as YouTube can be a good way to gain some exposure and spread the word about your company. The best thing about submitting your commercials online is that there is almost no quality control so almost any videos can get pass these sites.

The great thing about creating an online commercial is that it doesn’t cost a cent to submit your videos to websites like YouTube. By submitting to these websites, you are gaining exposure from all sorts of people. You can make a story out of the commercial if you want. However, making the commercial too long may turn off the online crowd as the attention span of online users can be very low. It is best to have your commercial ranging from 30 seconds to a few minutes top.

a punch comes out from the computer screen

The theme of your commercial is a very important aspect that captures the audience. You can make your commercial funny, serious, sad, informational and etc. The goal is to have the users remember your commercial and hopefully become your customer. However, it is much better if the commercial is somehow related to your company so there wouldn’t be any confusion when they visit your company’s website (assuming you have one).

You can be creative and do a commercial on almost anything you want to get your name out. There’s a drawback when your theme overpowers the message and vice versa. You have to balance it out to get a good effect from your commercials. Start rolling in those commercials to free video distribution sites like YouTube and get some exposure!

This is a great idea. I purchased a video camera for my laptop last weekend, but I don’t like the way it is performing. I have to take it back, but once I find a good quality one this is something I plan to do. Have you recorded your commercial yet?

Agree, and I think more companies will be using YouTube and other online video distribution sites to market their products. If you especially look at the rise of user-created commercial contests, like the Doritos commercial used in the last Super Bowl (even though I have to say the winning commercial was terrible). Keep it up.

Thanks! Yea, more people are promoting themselves or their companies through the use of YouTube and other video websites. This will have a major impact on T.V. commercial spots.
