Commitment, I Commit, You Commit

Commitment, I Commit, You Commit

I commit, you commit… that’s the relationship between leaders and employees. It is a powerful relationship that if neglected, will break the very foundation of the business. The more important the employees, the more you have to commit to them. The leader must be the first to commit in order to be returned the favor. Commitment is necessary in life and in business.

In order for loyalty to be inspired, the leader must take care of the financial, health, personal and life issues of the employees. In return, the commitment of employees will be forever strong. They will give their absolute devotion to the company. Build up a strong relationship, let communication and action be the key to building a deeper commitment. If the leaders commit to the employees, the employees will commit to the leaders. When commitment is established, the employees will not hold back their powers.

I know a guy who used to have a retail computer store- he didn’t pay his employees too well. So when he went on his honeymoon- he asked my husband to drive an hour to get to his store and take care of an important computer that he needed fixed for him. So because it took my husband over an hour to get there in the morning- the store should have been open for some time. It wasn’t- the owner’s morning employees never showed up until about noon to open the store….

That’s the thing isn’t it, so why do some employers do not utilise this sort of approach? They just expect that just because they are paying their employees a regular salary, this is enough to keep them working for their company/business.

The collaborative, dedicated and comitted approach of their employees will help a company/business to be successful. If they foster their worker’s growth and initiative then everyone involve in the company wins.

Marie- The employer lose track of everything else in his/her pursuit of success. Neglecting others will be of dire consequence.

This is very true if I don’t sense that my leaders are committed to an idea or a project then I am not going to invest my quality time to follow through until they are committed.
