The best way to win in business is through the indirect. What holds a company together is the workforce. What command them are the top officers. By bribing the enemy’s top officers and make them your own, competing can’t get any easier. You cripple the enemy’s command and weaken their workforce.
Instead of directly competing with the enemy which is the most costly, bribe their top officers for an easy victory. By bribing the enemy’s top officers, you throw your competitor in chaos. The enemy’s CEO will find it hard to trust anyone and will isolate from everyone. Such a business strategy will devastate any competitor.

By spying on the enemy’s top officers; research on what they like and desire. Use their friends and families to persuade them. By fulfilling their most desirable wishes, what was once the enemy’s is now yours to command.
The best time to make the enemy’s officers defect is when their loyalty has weaken. Bribe them as you persuade them with words. Give a task to the defectors to test their loyalty before employing. Test them to see if they truly defecting or just a ploy from the enemy.

David, good tactics - but how can we then test the enemy officer’s loyalty to us?
When an officer defects he/she does it secretly so there is still time to give a task for the officer to fulfill that will prove the defector’s loyalty. So give a task that will cripple the enemy before the whole world knows that the officer defected. That is the way to test the defector’s loyalty.
Is continuing and future loyalty important?
