Brand Attitude through Message and Image

Does your brand have an attitude? Brand attitude is how you portray the attitude of the brand and how the consumers think about it. Basically your brand portrays an image and message in order to show the attitude of the brand to the consumers. Positive message and image is a necessity in order to have a positive brand attitude that can connect to the consumers. It is indeed a branding and communication strategy used in order to establish a connection with the consumers.

A good and unique message can be just the thing you need to portray your brand attitude. A good and clear message will help connect your consumers on what your brand is really all about. People buy the message, and a good one will be bought immensely. Whether it is a rebellious attitude or a do or die attitude, people with a similar mindset will buy the brand because the message connects to them. The reason why t-shirts with messages do so well is because they connect with people who agree with the message.

Imagery is also important in order to connect the attitude and the message to the people. The use of image should correlate to the message or you will confuse the consumers. Be bold, unique and daring so you would spark up controversies and press. Like what Seth Godin says about being remarkable, make your brand attitude remarkable so people will make a remark on it so others will start to talk about it (which will generate word-of-mouth).

Does your brand have an attitude? If not make one for you will be able to further brand and communicate to your consumers through your message and image. Connecting with your consumers is a key ingredient in business and an effective message and image is the way to do it.

Good post! I’m trying to come up with a brand idea for a business concept. The message I came up with would probably confuse some people, which is not a good thing. Thanks for getting me on track!

to come up with ideas takes few brainstorming sessions. but to actually turn them into branding is another story. if anybody is serious about building a brand I recommend to let pros do it … it may cost some money but at the end, it is the image and perception that sells …. here I am talking from own experience. it is not only about the brand itself but also the way it is used, how it incorporates into packaging, product itself etc … it takes more than one creative mind to work out the whole concept.

Thanks for your input Biz! 2 or more minds are better than one. Letting pros handle branding is always a good thing, but it may be hard to find them. It is always good to have a leader that knows some marketing so he/she would be able to distinguish good and bad pros =D.
