14. Borrow a Corpse to Resurrect the Dead

“Borrow a corpse to resurrect the dead” implies using something that has been long forgotten or outdated for your own goals. Things of the past (methods, technology and even ideas) can be used for the future. Bring things of old and make it new again. You can also learn from the past to understand the future.
Another vague meaning is to use a puppet for your own bidding. Usually, that will imply using a puppet king or ruler to further one’s own goals. In its simplest interpretation, it can mean to give new life over something that is weak or dead (a take-over). That is what it means to “borrow a corpse to resurrect the dead“.

I use this theory a lot with my songwriting and blogging. I may recycle a chorus from a dead song if I feel it fits a new idea. In blogging, I will use an old idea if I felt it didn’t get the proper attention the first time. Good analogy, great post.
