Hi, my name is David Kam. I got my bachelors in marketing at C.S.I. (great place, the campus is huge!). The goal of this website is to provide marketing and business strategies to help your company. The resources here are great for entrepreneurs, business leaders, decision makers, strategists, managers and anyone who is curious about marketing or business strategies.
My Story…
Upon graduating from C.S.I. at May 30, 2007, I was pretty worried about the business world and the job market. After a month and a half with no job in hand, I decided to start a marketing & business blog to make some extra income, build up my portfolio and express my ideas in the internet. During my unemployment days, I was reading the Art of War and Three Kingdoms extensively.
I was pretty down for a while and a friend (Kia!) in C.S.I. asked me to attend this church called ANC (All Nations Church). I didn’t have much friends so I started going there each week to listen to the sermons, feel good and chat with the Christians (mostly Korean) there. During the fall, I helped my aunt with her business, but it became too much of a burden for me as her health was failing (I quit!).
Around early 2008, I started to go to ANC (it is now called 180Church as of April 27, 2008) more and joined a small group to socialize, talk about last week sermon and Christ. Even now, I still go to 180Church every Sunday and had built up a pretty good relationship with everyone there. Although I haven’t read much about the bible, I believed Christ and the way he sacrificed himself for us. I rely on Pastor Sam sermons to understand the bible more and found it more fun for him to read it out for me!
Fast forward 10 months (May 2008) and my blog started to pick up among bloggers. I was complimented by the famous Anita Campbell of SmallBizTrends during that time (her website has 166K RSS readers as I’m writing this)! Around April 2008, I had the pleasure to be in Seth Godin virtual internship where 100 great marketers will assist him in his projects.
This blog has evolved and will continue to do so in order to make it one of the best marketing and business blog ever! I hope you had the pleasure of enjoying my blog. I’ll continue to update my story as I live through them.
A little about me…
I’m a crazed fan of Sun Tzu, Zhuge Liang and Sun Bin. I have read at least 6 different versions of the Art of War in my pursuit of knowledge. I have read the stories of Zhuge Liang explosive strategies that turned the tide for the Shu kingdom and the writings he wrote on the assessments of leaders. I have also read Sun Bin Art of War, but its use was very strictly of tactics and not very universal. I’m a movie and anime fan and my crazy ideas and knowledge comes from both the ancients and present day media.
