6 Ways to Boost Your Creativity

To become better at what you do, you need to have a creative mind. It is hard to get new ideas just by delving deep in your mind. At times, you have to get inspired through other sources. Only then will your mind unlock its potential. Here are 6 ways to boost your creativity.

  1. Animes. Animes are a great way to spark some creativity. There are a lot of anime shows that has many creative elements, thoughts, ideas, and knowledge that you can learn from. You get to have fun watching and explore new ideas in the process.
  2. Blogs. A lot of resources can be found on blogs. There are countless blogs that exist in the virtual space and more are coming into existence. The voice and knowledge of bloggers are limitless for us to explore.
  3. Books. Books offer a lot of information and the right ones can trigger great ideas. Used through ancient times and is still a great resource to get some new ideas going.
  4. Magazines. A lot of gossips, rumors, news and ideas are presented in magazine which can be useful at times. The insight of magazine articles can be a good way to gather new ideas and thoughts.
  5. Movies. Directors of movies usually have to come up with interesting storyline and ideas so they are a great resource for new ideas and inspiration.
  6. Videogames. Videogames take a long time to develop and a great game offers a great storyline and insane ideas that can help spark your mind. The imagination that goes into making a game are unimaginable and playing videogames to gather new ideas is my idea of fun.

There you have it, 6 ways that can boost your creativity. At times, I use them to generate new ideas. Those 6 ways might just be the thing you need to become creative again!

    they say that creativity peaks at 23 and it goes downhill from there. if that’s the case, you may just have saved my sense of creativity, if there ever was, by posting such an entry. I just turned 24 last month. tough luck eh?!

    One is never too old to get new ideas going. Steve Job is like the iGod and he’s just getting started. I wonder what’s the next iProduct he has in store for us =D.

    I find that taking walks, drawing, and writing (constantly) help boost my creativity. Watching TV and playing video games tends to dull my ideas. To each his/her own!
